Job Description

This is a position for a person who has enthusiasm in environmental education and protection. 
Job duties include: Work closely with the coordinator and staff of Environmental Development Centre (in Whole Person Education Office) to deliver an experiential learning course named “Environmental Awareness” for university students. The candidate is expected to teach in full English; Coordinate events and activities to promote environmental awareness and responsibility; Coordinate off-campus activities in relation to environmental protection in local or overseas area; Give advice to students and student societies on their green activities/projects; Conduct field survey and community study. 

Job Requirement

Candidates should have a master degree or above in biological- or environmental-related subjects such as Biology (incl. Zoology and Botany), Environmental Engineering, Geography, Earth Science, Green Technology, Sustainability Study, Geographic Information System (GIS), Environmental Study, etc. 
- The candidate is expected to teach in full English and should have a good command of both English and Chinese. 
- Experience and knowledge in environmental monitoring survey or experiment; Experience and knowledge in GIS operation or experiment; Experience in organizing green activities and/or environmental-related research. 
- Demonstrable botanic/agricultural/horticultural knowledge through work or personal interest; overseas learning/working experience, NGO working experience.
- The candidate needs to work in normal working hours. However, working outdoor in irregular hours and on weekends may be required occasionally. The position offered depends on the candidate’s experience and academic qualification as well as achievement.
